Held in an exceptional natural setting, the third edition of Open Air Blues in the Garden Festival, Dărmanesti jazz blues festival, was a real benefit for blues culture and music, the presented program comprising a successful fusion of styles from archaic blues, passing through jazz rhythms, soul, funk and reaching modern blues-rock.
Held over the course of three days (August 26-28, 2022), the festival gave the audience the opportunity to meet famous artists such as Kyla Brox (UK), Dan Patlansky (South Africa) and Harlem Lake (Netherlands) – the headliners of the festival – Meena Cryle & The Chris Filmore Band (Austria), Sam Kelly Station House (UK), Eliana Cargnelutti (Italy), Big Man James Trio (Italy), Cotton Pickers (Serbia), together with the Romanian artists Dusty Ride, Trans Express , Stones Free and Othello Trio.
The festival awards Romanian artists with the Blues in the garden Hall of Fame distinction, for their entire career in the service of blues music; after in 2021 he awarded this distinction to Vali Răcilă and Rareș Totu, in 2022 the distinction was awarded to Florin Ochescu.
