Two members of the European Blues Union, Roser and Fred, had the pleasure of attending the highly anticipated 2025 edition of the Cahors Blues Festival. After a year-long cancellation, the festival made a triumphant return in a shortened three-day format, hosted for the first time at a picturesque new location along the banks of the Lot River.
The lineup proudly showcased talented artists from France, across Europe, and the United States, offering audiences a vibrant and diverse panorama of contemporary blues.
The Cahors Blues Festival is not just a key musical event, it holds a distinguished place in blues history, being listed in both the French Blues Hall of Fame and the European Blues Hall of Fame. The festival has been honored with several prestigious awards, including the Keeping the Blues Alive Award, the Blues Behind the Scene Award, and is one of only three European cities to have an official marker on the Mississippi Blues Trail, a rare and remarkable tribute.
This edition was a resounding success, reaffirming Cahors Blues Festival’s vital role in promoting blues music in Europe and beyond.
Roser and Fred salute the energy, passion, and dedication of the organizers and artists, and celebrate the return of this iconic festival to the heart of summer.
