At the center of the group stands Boogie Kathi, a pianist and vocalist whose passion for Boogie Woogie and Blues defines the band’s distinctive sound. Her powerful piano style and expressive voice are complemented by a dynamic rhythm section on bass and drums, a masterful blues guitar, and an evocative blues harp. Together, they create a musical dialogue that is both deeply rooted in history and engaging in the present.

TOM EYLENBOSCH – Belgium

Tom Eylenbosch, a talented musician hailing from Keerbergen, Belgium, embarked on his musical journey at the age of 10. Influenced by his mother’s collection of vintage hard rock records, he was drawn to the piano and initiated his musical pursuits. Over the years, Tom expanded his musical expertise by mastering additional instruments, including the guitar, Hammond organ, and banjo. Drawing inspiration from notable artists such as Jerry Lee Lewis, Dr. John, Otis Spann and Jon Lord. Tom’s diverse influences shape his unique sound.

In 2024, Tom received multiple nominations from the Belgian Blues Association, and won an award for Best Duo Act with Guy Verlinde. By 2025, Tom was voted Best Instrumentalist, making him one of the youngest award winning musicians yet. Later that same year, Tom achieved another milestone by winning the Belgian Blues Challenge, making him the first solo artist ever to earn this title.

When playing under his own name, Tom encompasses all of his blues and New Orleans piano ventures. In these performances, Tom guides the audience along the Mississippi River, weaving a tapestry of classic New Orleans and blues piano melodies.

KAMEN “KATSATA” BAND – Bulgaria

Kamen Doychinov (aka Kamen “Katsata”) is considered as one of the doyens of the blues music and blues culture in Bulgaria. He begins his carrier in the 80’s years of the past century as a blues and punk singer in different underground formations. After the fallen of the Berliner Wall and the changes of the political system, “Katsata” turns into pro in the early 90’s. During that period he is a member of the most renowned Bulgarian blues band – “Poduene Blues Band” With them he has endless number of club gigs in Bulgaria and participates at all major local festivals in Bulgaria. It follows collaboration with the German blues singer and booking agent Richard Bargel who secures short German tour alongside some cultural events in Luxembourg, Germany, and The Netherlands.

During the next 2 decades Kamen “Katsata” continues to play mainly with “Poduene Blues Band” appearing at festivals Romania, Greece and Bulgaria as well.

His deep and power vocals, the strong artistic identity on the stage, the bitter self-humor – all this impress everywhere.

From 2016 till 2019 “Katsata” presents in Delta Blues Bar Sofia his monthly serial of 38 lessons “Faces of The Blues” with focus on pre-war artists, like Blind Lemon Jefferson, Charlie Patton, Big Jow Williams, Bucka White etc. In the same period, he starts to play with own band called Kamen “Katsata” Band and keeps this format rolling out till today.

Also, he is known for his support to young female blues singers releasing singles with them.

JADRAN & IMPERFECT STATE – Croatia

Jadran Mihelčić (born 2004) is a fifth-year piano student at the Academy of Music in Zagreb. During his education, he has won numerous awards, including multiple FDGS prizes for Best Young Composer and Performer. He has received several first prizes at national and international competitions for classical piano performance.

In addition to his classical training, he also studies jazz improvisation under professors David Gazarov and Saša Nestorović, as well as music production. He is a member of the Jazz Ensemble of the Academy of Music in Zagreb.

One of his most significant achievements to date was his performance in the Grand Hall of the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall in Zagreb, where he played Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra.

A passionate blues enthusiast, he has performed solo blues concerts featuring both classic blues pieces and his own compositions. His performances have reached renowned festivals such as the Thrill Blues Festival and the Zagreb International Blues Festival in Croatia, as well as the Notodden Blues Festival in Norway. At the latter, he attended Little Steven’s Blues School with a full scholarship from the European Blues Union.

In June 2025, he represented Croatia at the Pinetop Perkins’ Blues Camp in Clarksdale, MS, and performed at iconic blues clubs in various U.S. cities (Memphis, Chicago, Nashville, Franklin, Clarksdale, Jackson, and others).

In 2024, he won the Croatian Blues Challenge, securing a spot at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis as Croatia’s representative, which will take place in 2027.

He has collaborated with many emerging young artists on the Croatian blues scene, as well as several legends, including Sunnysiders, Martin Kosovec, Ante Gelo, Boris Hrepić, Bruno Mičetić, Dino Jelusić, and others.

In 2025, he founded the group Imperfect State together with Petar Pavasović, Jakov Kontak, and Thian Shjaer. They have had a series of successful performances, including multiple concerts at the iconic Kunst Caffe, headlining the 16th Zagreb International Blues Festival, performances at the 8th Thrill Blues Festival, the 21st Pirovac Blues Festival, Zapruđe Blues Moment, and a sold-out solo concert at the Komedija Theatre Club “Kontesa.”

Their sound emerged as an original and creative fusion of various genres, encompassing jazz, blues, psychedelic rock, funk, as well as progressive and oriental tones.

“What followed was a lavish, spirited, and very focused performance with excellent communication and interaction with the audience, driven by a genuine desire and intention to create that vital mutual connection. […] We had the opportunity to witness how numerous musical genres can be successfully intertwined […] Fragments of classical music, soul, gospel, psychedelia, and, of course, blues were skillfully woven into each composition.”

Now, after a hiatus of several years, Marc Slight & One “O” Eight’s brand-new project reveals his extraordinary versatility. He plays a unique hybrid fanned-fret bass & guitar that he co-designed, while accompanying himself with his feet on the drums, all the while complementing his charismatic vocals. This innovative concept allows him to create a full sound in real time — sounding like a full band, even though he is alone on stage.

SOUTH OF SAVOY – Estonia

South of Savoy brings to you fresh sounds from the world of roots rock’n roll, blues and soul!

Rooting to the swamps, forests and lakes of Estonia and Finland, South of Savoy gives a new touch to the American southern rock. From hip twisting rock’n’roll to soul-stirring blues and soul – this 5-piece band, led by a powerful female vocalist, plays a full programme of their original music and adds their favourite tunes from both the golden era of our last century and today’s contemporary blues world.

Operating out of Tallinn since 2022, the 5-piece band is a dynamic collective with raw energy and an improvisational spirit, defining South of Savoy’s sound. Their live recording approach shines through, delivering a powerful mix of energy, danger, and a gritty blues interpretation led by vocalist Krista Tiitinen.

Since 2023, South of Savoy has been the house band for the legendary blues jams at Philly Joe’s Jazz Club in Tallinn, where they’ve dived into a treasure trove of modern blues songs, reinventing them with their own raw, signature style. “We wanted to create a blues program that truly represented us,” says drummer Jeremia Kangas. “We found our initial inspiration in modern blues women like Debbie Davies, Bonnie Raitt, Koko Taylor, Samantha Fish and Susan Tedeschi. These artists’ songwriting fuelled and motivated us in the early days of the band.”

During the bands 3-year journey they have performed in Reykjavik during Icelandic Airwaves (2024), toured in Denmark, Faroe Islands and Finland (including Pakkasukko Blues & Jazz Festival main stage), performed at Estonia’s Augustibluus Festival main stage (2024) and have received radio coverage and interviews in five different countries, including album of the week in Estonia’s national Radio 2.

THE FREERIDE EXPERIENCE – Georgia

The FreeRide Experience (FreeRide) was founded in 2015 in Tbilisi, by Datuna (David) Rakviashvili (Georgia) and expatriat musicians. Soon joined by multi-instrumentalist Vaja “Kusto” Chakhunashvili (Georgia), the band emerged as a creative space for collaboration — open to both professionals and passionate amateurs. True to its name, The FreeRide Experience embraced freedom and experimentation, blending a wide spectrum of blues-based genres while maintaining an open-door approach to guest musicians.

The current lineup features musicians from Georgia – Datuna Rakviashvili (vocals, guitar), Vazha “Kusto” Chakhunashvili (drums), and Levan Topuridze (bass). The power trio performs its own interpretations of blues-rock classics alongside original material.

Each member refined their style through years of performances, originally shaping their musical taste and approach in Vova Mgeladze’s Blues Mobile Band — a cornerstone of Georgia’s live blues scene.

Forged in the fire of the inaugural Aegean Blues Festival & Challenge on the volcanic island of Nisyros, Lava Blues Trio is a rising international blues force whose sound blends Mediterranean soul, Parisian jazz-influenced finesse, and the raw storytelling roots of Melbourne’s electric blues tradition.

Formed as finalist performers at the first-ever Aegean Blues Festival & Challenge—presented by the Nisyros Municipality and the Aegean Blues Appreciation Society—the trio emerged from a landmark event that defied remote geography, unpredictable weather, and limited logistics to ignite a new cultural wave in the region. The debut festival exceeded expectations, sparking new alliances and a surge of international interest, with more than six bands submitting EOIs via audition, interview, and live footage.

THE HOOCHIES – Netherlands

Four experienced musicians from the Dutch blues scene formed a band that primarily delivers raw and unpolished blues with hints of surf, gospel and haunted tremolo riffs.

Singer and harmonica player Richard Koster and guitarist Roelof Meieringh are the predecessors of the band and lead the undefined path on their musical journey.

Their chemistry on stage comes from years of playing together in various projects where their love for raw and classic blues always dominated.

The rhythm section consists of two heavyweights from the Dutch blues circuit, Jules van Brakel on bass and Chiel ten Vaarwerk on drums.

Following an impressive performance at Moulin Blues their live recording received rave reviews. in 2025 their first studio album followed: Back on my own – an adventurous and versatile record full of original compositions. This album was recorded at Natural Records in Holland.

In the fall of 2025, the Hoochies won the final of the Dutch blues challenge.

They will represent the Netherlands at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis and the European Blues Challenge in Poland.

Whether it’s a steaming club or a big festival -this band brings the blues with their heart on their sleeve and their soul in every note!

RED. CHIROWSKI & PAN WYDRO – Poland

Two bluesmen, perfectly complementing one another, came together in 2015 to create what would soon become an extraordinary phenomenon on the Polish blues scene – KSW 4 BLUES. Over the next decade, they not only forged their own unmistakable sound but also earned wide recognition: the Rawa Blues Award (2018), the title of the Blues Top Album of the Year (2019), and Blues Top Band of the Year (2020).
Currently, they perform as a duo rooted in the tradition of country blues – restless travelers who roam from town to town, often playing on the streets like the legendary hobos. Their songs weave blues with lyrics that reach far beyond music, drawing inspiration from the Bible, classic Polish poetry of both the Old Polish and Romantic eras, and contemporary literature alike.
As one critic once put it: “It’s a list of required readings… only with blues.”

GREEN ONIONS EXPERIENCE – Romania

Green Onions Experience is a Romanian blues-rock band from Cluj-Napoca, founded in 2019.

In a surprisingly short period of time, they’ve performed at some of the most important blues festivals in Romania, such as Cluj Blues Festival, Urban Blues Festival in Bucharest, Open Air Blues Festival Brezoi, and even at an international festival, at the Howth Roots & Blues Festival in Dublin.

The band tours regularly in Romania, and in 2024 they embarked on their first European tour, performing in cities such as Belgrade, Zagreb, Vienna, and Budapest.

They have released one EP, called “DJAH” (2020), and two studio albums:

SIRJO COCCHI & BALTA BORDOY – THE BLUES WAY – Spain

An immediate throwback to the reality and tradition of the electric Blues idiom of the 60s and the Rhythm & Blues golden age, The Blues Way is a project by SirJo Cocchi & Balta Bordoy: SirJo’s dynamic vocals, piano playing and Balta’s raw and true guitar sound stirred enthusiastic responses both with their duo and band performances. The group sold out all their dates during their recent Italian tour, the highlight being a great gig at Blue Note Milano, Italy’s top club with 300 people capacity. SirJo & Balta are set out to play festivals and more club dates during this autumn and winter in Hungary, Italy and Spain.

“Heads Up!”, their first album for Continental Record Services (the historical Dutch label) was met by numerous great reviews and it’s been often written about as one the best Blues albums of 2024. The record has seven original songs plus three covers (Leroy Carr/Scrapper Blackwell, Ray Charles and Freddie King/Sonny Thompson) was recorded live in the studio (no edits, no overdubs) in Barcelona then mixed and mastered by the renowned producer/guitarist Kid Andersen with special guests like Victor Puertas on harmonica and Nil Mujal on tenor sax.

JENNY BLUE AND THE TOMBSTONE SHADOWS – Sweden

Malmoe’s Jenny Blue is described as one of South Swedens most powerful voices in blues & soul. Her Aretha/Janis hybrid made her work with greats in the industry. Tomstone Shadows is the brainchild of guitar player Tor Andersson who adds dynamic, rawness and passion to the table. Ponta Ottenfelt drums and Paul Hinz bas create a rock-solid backbone to the sound colored by organ demon Magnus Nörrenberg. Together they interpret classic blues and soul in their own unique way. They have released two EP albums with Swedish Lyrics. The last couple of years with intense shows around the country supporting top acts has helped define the gasoline drenched V8 BLUES -engine JBTS.

The Swiss singer and her band are exploring new musical territory on their album «Roots».
