APPEAL TO EBU BLUES FOR YOUTH PROGRAMS CANDIDATES
In the framework of the Blues For Youth concept, the EBU has recently initiated collaboration with two world-renowned projects related to Blues for Young Generations and Blues in Schools.
The main goal of Blues For Youth is to bring the blues to young generations, from school kids up to young, up-and-coming musicians. The aim is not only to teach music but also to educate the culture behind the African-American heritage related to equality and human rights.

Ninth Annual Workshop Experience 2019.
Masterclasses in Piano, Guitar, Harmonica and Bass.
Dates: June 11 to June 14.
Place: Hopson Plantation and Shack Up Inn, Clarksdale, MS.
Open to the young and the young at heart.
For piano, guitar, bass and harmonica, professional Blues musicians will present the music and techniques for playing it. Sorry, but no beginning students allowed. We won’t start from scratch. Everyone needs to already have a basic knowledge of their instrument. Any musician who has been playing seriously for a year or so should be able to make a lot of progress in his or her Blues playing. We require at least two year experience for piano workshop participants.
Instructors include: Bob Margolin, Bob Stroger, Phil Wiggins, and others.
We are happy to announce that the EBU will offer two scholarships for European Blues students in USA. If you are a young musician or a music student – or know one, please follow this links for more information: EBU Blues School USA 2019
- Little Steven Blues School

Dates: July 28th to August 1st.
Place: Notodden, Norway
Little Steven’s Blues School will bring together national and international top-level young musicians. The goal is to stimulate musical innovation, to improve what exists, but also to create something completely new. By studying and playing the Blues with its cultural and musical impact in a broad perspective, students will learn about the Blues and its roots relationship to other types of music – while at the same time teaching the students the heart and core of the Blues as a genre.
We are happy to announce that the EBU will offer four scholarships for European Blues students in Norway. If you are a young musician or a music student – or know one, please follow this links for more information: EBU Blues School Norway 2019
