Autumn 2019. PD Martin (aka Piet Vercauteren) and his band hit the trail as a straightforward blues-trio. But twelve bars ain’t enough and soon they are leaving the main road. Gig by gig, song by song they make their way through a
wetland of blues and funk, ever groovin’ to the rhythm of the almighty Soul beat. With the addition of keys, the power trio evolves into a funky blues ‘n soul quartet. Strong compositions, an ultra-tight rhythm section, witty lyrics
and brilliant piano- and guitar playing form the trademark of this exciting band. With the start of 2023 comes the release of the album “Soulbeat Incarnate”. A diverse collection of eleven original songs.

BLUES TRAFFIC – Bulgaria
Blues Traffic is considered as one of the most famous and loved bands in Bulgaria. It has been established during 1997 in the 2nd city of Bulgaria – Plovdiv. It takes not long time until the group affirms itself at the domestic blues stage.
During 1999 the band performs at the biggest (by than) blues festival in Bulgaria – Bourgas Blues (with Blues Brothers
in the lineup). The band closes the festival program sharing the stage with harmonica virtuoso Pera Joe from Serbia.
It follows live sessions on the Bulgarian National TV in different programs. During the period 2001-2003 three
gigs of the band have been broadcasted live by the nationwide station Rock Radio “Tangra”.
During 2005 the “traffickers” record the album “The Best” with one of the blues patriarchs of Bulgaria – Vily Kavaldjiev.
10 years later in 2015, the band released 2 singles which top two of the local charts – “New 10+2” and “Top 40”. At the end of 2017 the band releases its 1st album – “Shoes for Blues” which quickly reaches # 1 in the chart “Rock Trampoline”.
In 2021 Blues Traffic releases their 2nd album “She said NO”. At the same time the band continues to be regular performer at local rock, blues and beer festivals.

EDI EAST TRANCE BLUES – Croatia
Edi East Trance Blues is the band of the legendary Edi Maružin – frontman, singer, guitarist, songwriter, and leader of the equally legendary band ”Gustafi”. After achieving nearly everything possible in music with ”Gustafi” – writing numerous hits, recording albums, performing worldwide, receiving accolades from both audiences and critics, and winning many awards – Edi turned his focus to his greatest musical love: the blues. His debut album “Sumpor” (2018) stands confidently alongside the world’s greatest blues releases, winning the Croatian Blues Forces award for Best Blues Album in the 2018/19 season, while its successor “35’61” from 2020, Caminada” is even better. It may be the best thing that happened to us in the unfortunate, pandemic year of 2020. Edi East Trance Blues flirts with trance and neo-blues, Istrian folk singing, drum’n’fife and Siberian steppe songs. The quality of Edi and his friends has been recognized by the blues community, as Edi East Trance Blues convincingly won the “Croatian Blues Challenge.”

STEVEN’S – Czech Republic
Steven’s mix blues, rock, and even funk groove. The varied genre arrangements are based on the solid foundations of rhythmics of bassist Honza Donda and drummer Honza Řehak, guitar riffs and vocal expressions of frontman and guitarist Štěpán Kordík and vocalists Marta Nováková and Kristýna Gubišová accompanied by keyboardist Miki Kopecký.
One of the most promising young bands of the Czech scene was formed in 2021, when they released their debut single Enough accompanied by a music video, a year later they won the main prize of the jury of the prestigious Blues Aperitiv competition organized by the largest Central European blues festival Blues Alive.
“However, the bands that won the jury’s vote were still off the mark. Steven’s from Karlovy Vary with their youthful vigor, combined with an almost professional musicianship and a skillful mix of blues music with soul, rock, and funk, while Black Pin from the Polish part of Silesia had an unmistakable purely blues feel, brilliant interplay and distinctive inventiveness within the genre,” said music publicist and event program director Ondřej Bezr.
The band released their debut album called Runnin’ man on 14th October 2022.

PAY DAY – Denmark
Pay Day merges the traditional sounds of mid-century electric blues with present day stories of identity, love, and devotion. The Copenhagen-based blues quartet has been turning heads in Denmark with their debut album; “Getting There”, that garnered rave reviews and saw frontman Oscar Mukherjee win a “Danish Music Award”.
Danish/American/Indian blues guitarist and singer-songwriter Oscar Mukherjee spent his childhood in Northern California with the sounds of blues artists such as Jimmy Reed, Mississippi John Hurt, Jimmie Vaughan, and Otis Rush. He writes and sings with a folk-tinged vulnerability and plays guitar with no-frills, less-is-more, honesty.
He is joined by the veteran blues drummer Asmus Jensen (Omar Kent Dykes), the talented guitar ace Jakob Holm (Marc Johnson), and bassist-and-brother Lucas Mukherjee.

JANTSO JOKELIN – Finland
Jantso Jokelin is a blues singer, guitarist and internationally renowned harmonica player from Helsinki, Finland.
He draws his biggest inspiration from early country blues, with occasional nods to other global musical cultures to keep the tradition fresh and evolving.
In Jokelin’s songs, plaintive and atmospheric moods alternate with moments of simple joy, always executed with style and skilled musicianship.
As well as being an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Jokelin has received praise for his thoughtfully composed, poetically expressive lyrics.
Jokelin is the author of the first extensive book on the history and playing styles of the harmonica written in Finnish, plus many other books of travel literature and essays.
His harmonica playing skills have earned him the 3rd prize on the World Harmonica Contest in Germany in 2009.

THE SEE SEE RIDERS – Germany
The See See Riders from Bamberg, Germany, started as a duo in 2017 and have since grown into a dynamic four-piece band dedicated to American blues, roots, and string-band music. With two albums already released and a third set for 2025, the band has gained international recognition, touring their homeland and other European countries, including Ireland and Austria.
Known for their vibrant blend of rural blues, ragtime, and swing, they have performed at major festivals such as the Jazz Festival Spiekeroog and Mississippi Blues & BBQ Berlin. Their unique string-band setup -resonator guitars, violin, and double bass- creates a fresh take on traditional acoustic sounds rarely seen on stage today.

ELIANA ONE WOMAN BAND – Greece
Eliana Nikolopoulou is a songwriter, singer and musician from Greece. Deeply influenced by the acoustic blues, political folk music as well as greek folk music, she creates a warm and at the same time raw blues sound, using simple musical paths and powerful singing. Her songs talk about socio-political conditions and everyday struggles.
She started performing live in 2010 as a solo artist and at the same time as a singer and guitar player in other blues bands. In 2015 the project one woman band started. By the year 2017, she released her first album “Sweet Fellow” and the second one“ Prison for human souls” followed in 2021. Right now she’s recording her third album.
She performs with acoustic guitars, slide guitar, cigar box guitar, stompbox-foot drums.

FRANCESCO GAROLFI – Italy
«Francesco Garolfi is one of the best musicians I’ve ever worked with», as Peter Walsh (producer of Peter Gabriel, Scott Walker, Simple Minds, Miguel Bosé etc.) defined him.
His soulful acoustic project, centered on original songs, aims at purity and essentiality: combining rural blues, roots and gospel, declined in a contemporary key, Garolfi merges his elegant fingerpicking technique with his deep vocal timbre, for a set at the same time intimate and passionate, capable of captivating the audience.
Guitarist and singer, composer, arranger, producer, in various tours around the world, Garolfi has shared the stage with internationally renowned artists (Garth Hudson of The Band in Woodstock, Hevia, Noa, Eric Bibb, Guy Davis and many others). He performed one of his original songs for the Pope, worldwide broadcasted and in front of 500,000 people, and performed for EXPO Milan, in the USA Pavilion. He played in numerous clubs in the United States, appearing on live national and international TV and radio programs (CBS USA, King Biscuit Time with Sonny Payne). His independent artistic path, without boundaries, has earned him the nomination of Godin Artist and AER Artist, alongside Roger Waters, Brian May, Bill Frisell, Tommy Emmanuel, Eric Johnson, Jerry Douglas.
In his own studio La Gare, he recorded 2 albums, 3 EPs and 1 single which reflect various blues shades: The Blues I Feel (2006), 1968 A Rock Odyssey (2008), A Handful Of Songs EP (2015), Woke Up This Morning EP (2021), Field Recordings EP (2022) and the single Trouble, soundtrack to the TV fiction “L’Alligatore” broadcasted on national TV. He collaborated as a singer, multi instrumentalis and arranger with Fabrizio Poggi, nominated for a Grammy Awards, for whom he arranged and recorded the duo album The Breath of Soul and the subsequent ones: Still Alive, Mercy, Spirit of Mercy, Il Soffio della Libertà and Basement Blues.

THE NIGHTCALLERS – Luxembourg
They found each other in 2018 during blues jam sessions in the heart of Luxembourg city.

TOMMY TITO – Norway
Tommy Tito, born in Northern Norway, began singing at a very early age and took up the guitar at 9. His musical career has gone from Elvis impersonator as a child, teenage bands, acoustic performances, and a deep dive into electric guitar. With roots in the blues, Tommy has developed into a versatile musician who masters several genres and instruments.
Tommy Tito became known to the entire Norwegian blues community in 2015 when he and his band won the final of the Norwegian Union Blues Cup at the Notodden Blues Festival. In 2016 he toured clubs and festivals all over the country, and also made appearances in Germany and the USA. The members of the band went their separate ways in 2019, and since then Tommy has been working on various musical projects.
In search of new musical inspiration, he embarked on a journey a few years ago that ended up with him living in southern Spain for two years. In 2023 he did more than 200 concerts out in Europe. After his stay in Spain, Tommy traveled to Nashville in the USA, where he stayed for a month and played at jam sessions, did concerts and a studio recording.
Tommy is now well established in Norway and performs frequent concerts. He is currently working on two projects, one that is pop-related and a blues-rock project that he will start next year.

WILD FLAME – Poland
The band Wild Flame, a dynamic blend of blues, soul, rock and funk energy and passion. Our music combines our energetic stage show and songs interwoven with a unique story, to create a mysterious and intriguing journey. Their debut album “Steel and Fire” was released in November 2022.
An undoubted advantage of the band is Adeama Walkowiak, an excellent British singer from London. Adeama’s musical family roots (Her father achieved great success as the keyboard player in reggae band Third World, and her mother vocally supported such music stars as Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston, Robert Cray and Gary Moore, amongst others) have helped her cultivate a style, musical talent and energy that captivates audiences and fans.

Mabelle Blues Band was born in 2021 by the hand and leadership of Vasco Finuras e Elsa Frias. United by their passion for the Blues, the couple combines authentic composition with talent in a melting pot of emotions. BLUESMAN – Romania
Bluemans is a romanian group founded in 2019. Each of the 4 members (Alexandru Cismaru – Guitars & Voice, Adi Tetrade – drums, Alin Neagoe – Bass guitar and Alexandru Matei – Keyboards) are known to have long history in Romania’s music scene, including Tv shows, album sessions, festivals, collaborations and so on.
After playing together in different environments for some years, they discovered the uniting passion of the blues and started playing their own songs, adding of course more ‘flavors’ to the mix, including rock, funk, soul, pop or folk. Their first album called „What?!”
It’s available on all streaming platforms since November 2023.

TÒFOL MARTÍNEZ BLUES BAND – Spain
Tòfol Martínez Blues Band was founded in 2011 with their first album, “Hallelujah.” In 2014, they released “1979” and in 2017, “No Panic!”. This band has played in various national and some international festivals. Their repertoire combines original songs with some covers performed in their own style.
Currently it is made up of Tòfol Martínez on vocals and guitar, Joan Pau Cumellas on harmonica, Gerard Nieto on piano and organ, Amadeo Zunino on bass, and Andreu Moreno on drums.
After a break of about four years due to an illness in his hands, Tòfol is back with more enthusiasm and strength than ever.

Anton Hultquist Trio was formed back in 2022.
I, Anton, started playing guitar in 2018 and my goal was clear, to play blues on my own terms and honor my heroes such as Mark Knopfler, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton and B.B king.
I also started writing my own songs and have always been interested in developing blues and the music that we love.
But I could never do it alone. With the help of my friends Malte and William Karlsson we managed to create our own sound and has been touring around Sweden the last 2 years.

MARK SLATE & ROTOSPHERE – Switzerland
The band Rotosphere has become a cornerstone of the Blues Festival Baden (Switzerland). Since 2005, led by guitarist and bandleader Nic Niedermann, they’ve been lighting up the festival’s legendary Late Night Jam Sessions. Over the years, they’ve shared the stage with blues icons such as Magic Slim, Susan Tedeschi, Coco Montoya, and Chicago’s own blues harpist, Matthew Skoller.
