The winner of Media category has been in the blues photography since early 2000’s. Since there on, each festival or blues event warmly welcomes his presence, being confident that he will deliver state-of-the-art pictures. He publishes his photos right on time spreading the word about the blues festivals and events he visits. On February 4, 2012 in Memphis, TN The Blues Foundation honored him with their 2012 “Keeping the Blues Alive” (KBA) Award. For spreading the blues for more than twenty years with his camera and amazing photos all over the world, the Winner in MEDIA category is MR. AIGARS LAPSA from Latvia.

Wolf Records is an Austrian record label based in Vienna. Simply its emphasis is the blues. The story of Wolf Records began in 1974, as 20 daring Austrian blues fans founded the Vienna Blues Fan Club. Since 1992, Åmål’s blues association has organized Sweden’s largest and most important blues festival, Åmål’s Blues Fest, with Swedish and international artists. The association also promotes blues music through workshops and the School of Blues for young people during the blues festival. Agneta Andersson is both the hub and engine of an incredibly well-trimmed organization which organizes Åmål’s Blues Fest every year in July. Close to smiling and laughing, with a never-ending energy and enthusiasm, Agneta keeps an eye on both details and the whole and is always at hand for the individual person, musicians, visitors/audience, volunteers and collaboration partners.
