Internship Opportunity – Board Member for One Day
Board Member for One Day: become part of an international network promoting blues culture across Europe
The European Blues Union (EBU) is pleased to announce a new internship opportunity within the framework of the Blues For Youth project.
As part of this initiative, the EBU is launching the Board Member for One Day, a new international project that will officially start in 2026. The internship will include participation in activities connected with the EBU Board Meeting, which will take place in Vila do Conde, Portugal, in autumn 2026.
About the Project Board Member for One Day
Blues For Youth aims to reconnect younger generations with the blues, engaging students, young musicians, and emerging professionals. Beyond music education, the project promotes the cultural heritage of the blues, highlighting its roots in the history of African American communities and its enduring values of equality, inclusion, and human rights.
The new Board Member for One Day offers participants the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the management of an international non-profit organization, working with partners from different European countries and contributing to the development of new international initiatives and events.
Who We Are Looking For
Applications are open to candidates under the age of 35 who have an academic or professional background in one or more of the following areas:
- International Association Management
- International Project Management
- Non-profit Organizations
- Leadership and Strategy
- Governance
- Operational Management
- Networking and International Relations
Requirements
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Interest in international cooperation, cultural projects, and the music sector
- Motivation to work in a multicultural environment
What We Offer
Successful candidates (one will be selected every year) will receive:
- Accommodation and meals during the EBU Board Meeting in Vila do Conde
- Travel contribution of up to €300
- Certificate of Participation
