EBU Visits Swing Wespelaar Blues Festival
The Swing Wespelaar Blues Festival in Belgium recently welcomed several members of the European Blues Union Board, together with Peter Astrup from Denmark’s Blues Heaven Festival.
The visit was a wonderful opportunity to meet with fellow blues professionals, festival organisers and friends of the European blues community, while celebrating the music, the people and the shared values that connect the blues scene across Europe.
Swing Wespelaar has established itself as an important blues event in Belgium, bringing artists and audiences together in a true festival atmosphere and contributing to the vitality of the European blues circuit. Its continued support of the European Blues Union is particularly appreciated, helping strengthen the network that connects blues organisations, festivals, musicians and enthusiasts across the continent.
For the EBU, relationships with festivals such as Swing Wespelaar are at the heart of what our association is about. Building bridges between countries, exchanging ideas and supporting the people who work tirelessly for the blues are essential to ensuring that the music continues to grow and reach new audiences.
