Thrill Blues Festival 2023: Bringing Blues Music to the Next Generation

The Thrill Blues Festival 2023 puts music education and the future of blues in the spotlight with an extensive programme dedicated to Blues in the Schools. Through workshops, educational meetings and live concerts, the festival introduces young people and aspiring musicians to the rich traditions of blues music.

Among the highlights is a special workshop with Michael Roach, offering young participants the opportunity to discover blues history, develop their musical skills and experience the power of blues through direct engagement with experienced musicians.

A special thank you to Boris Hrepic Hrepa for his dedication and hard work in keeping blues music alive and passing it on to the next generation, starting with his own children. Initiatives like these demonstrate how a passion for blues can grow into a shared cultural experience and inspire young musicians to explore this musical heritage.

Our sincere thanks also go to The International Crossroads Project for sharing their music, knowledge and passion with the children, helping make blues education an inspiring and memorable experience.

By connecting music education, live performances and cultural exchange, the Thrill Blues Festival celebrates blues not only as a musical tradition, but also as a living art form to be discovered and carried forward by future generations.
