Blues For Youth: European Blues Schools and Youth Education Archive

As part of the Blues For Youth project, the uropean Blues Union (EBU) has established collaborations with some of the most renowned international initiatives dedicated to blues education and the transmission of blues culture to younger generations.

The Blues For Youth project aims to bring the blues closer to young people—from school-age students discovering music and its cultural roots to young musicians developing their skills. The project goes beyond musical education: it promotes an understanding of the African American heritage of the blues, its history, and its enduring connection to equality, freedom and human rights.

Since 2018, these collaborations have enabled the EBU to offer scholarships for European blues students, providing young musicians with opportunities to attend international blues workshops and deepen their knowledge of both blues music and its cultural heritage.
